Saturday, April 13th, 2019 - The Lansing Community College American Marketing Association has returned receiving the highest honor of Top Small Chapter of the Year in the nation from their International Collegiate Conference held in New Orleans from April 11-13, 2019. The student organization here on campus competed against 380+ other universities and chapters internationally in various competitions.

The LCC AMA has been working very hard promoting their chapter theme: “Finding Unity in Community” over the past academic year to earn the coveted title of Top Small Chapter of the Year. Events such as their AMA Regional Conference and Business Etiquette Dinner held in the fall and the Star Tank Business Pitch Competition in the spring were some highlights of their journey to success. LCC AMA also worked tirelessly fundraising at 20+ LCC athletic events and championed recruiting new members to the club. LCC AMA Co-Advisor Bill Motz stated, “I am proud of the LCC AMA Officers and Members and the work they performed throughout the year that earned them the highest honor as Top Small Chapter of the Year.”

In New Orleans, LCC AMA participated in workshops and heard from professional speakers, along with opportunities to network with other students and professionals. LCC AMA President Joe Strother and VP Kaleigh King presented in the “Leading Your Chapter to Success - Becoming a Top Small Chapter” Session to over 50 conference attendees. The American Marketing Association is always looking for new members who are committed to preserving the well- earned 39-year reputation of LCC’s chapter. The AMA is able to provide networking

opportunities and business skills throughout the year for young professionals.
