Background:
In 1980, Lansing Community College became affiliated with the American Marketing Association. For 38 years, the Lansing Community College American Marketing Association (LCC AMA) collegiate chapter has provided students the chance to sharpen their professional skills beyond the classroom. The LCC AMA continues to provide business students professional activities to accomplish their goals; meet other business minded students; and to kick-start their career experience. Our chapter competes every year at an International level with prestigious four-year universities. LCC AMA has earned the highest award of “International Chapter of the Year” three times, and continues to earn top honors annually.

Our Mission:

The mission of Lansing Community College's (LCC) American Marketing Association (AMA) is to provide professional development, social interactions and networking events to offer connections to the real-world business community by organizing events such as the Marketing and Sales Scholarship Golf Outing, The Business Etiquette Dinner, guest speakers and networking events.

The Lansing Community College American Marketing Association (LCC AMA) was established in 1980 at LCC and continues to provide students with opportunities to apply their educational learning with hands- on experience. Our chapter competes every year in a international Chapter of the Year and continues to receive top honors annually, competing against over 300 four year universities. We compete in areas of Communication, Community Service, Fundraising, Membership, Professional Development, and Chapter Operations as a whole.
